Project Overview
Y Ride is a two-sided mobility platform that pairs a polished rider app with a full driver companion app. Riders book on-demand or scheduled trips, watch their driver arrive in real time, and pay by card, cash, or in-app wallet.
Under the hood, a real-time dispatch engine matches riders to nearby drivers using geospatial indexing, prices every trip with surge, toll, and even weather-aware charges, and keeps both sides connected with live tracking, chat, and push notifications.
The problem
Launching a ride-hailing service means competing with polished incumbents from day one. Riders expect upfront fares, live tracking, and instant booking; drivers expect transparent earnings and a steady stream of trips. Generic clone scripts deliver neither — and building real-time dispatch, pricing, and payments from scratch is slow and expensive.
