Project Overview
Tipzy is a multi-sided platform that turns great service into instant rewards. A guest scans the restaurant's QR code and lands straight in a lightweight web app — no download, no login — where they can browse the day's trending dishes, unlock discounts, pick the staff member who served them, and send a digital tip with a star rating.
Behind that simple flow sits a full ecosystem: an employee app where staff track earnings and withdraw tips to their bank account, a business dashboard where venues manage staff, menus, and reputation, and an admin console where the platform team oversees commissions, analytics, and payouts.
The problem
Tipping in India is broken for everyone involved. Guests rarely carry cash, so great service goes unrewarded. When cash tips do arrive, they get pooled or lost before reaching the person who earned them. Venues have no visibility into which staff delight customers and which drive them away — and happy diners walk out without ever leaving a Google review. Staff, meanwhile, have no reliable record of what they've actually earned.

Tools & Technologies
We built Tipzy as a full product ecosystem — a customer web app, staff app, and business dashboards in Flutter, powered by a Node.js and MongoDB backend with Razorpay payments and SMS notifications.
Conclusion
Tipzy proves that removing friction changes behaviour: when a tip takes ten seconds and no app install, guests actually tip. By pairing instant UPI payments with ratings, Google review funnels, and transparent payouts, Tipzy turns a single QR scan into rewarded staff, better reviews, and repeat customers — a win for everyone at the table.
